The Ignored Gospel

What you are about to read is just a portion of the statements that Jesus made concerning the power and authority that we the church are suppose to be walking in. These are not duplicates but all isolated statements made to His disciples as He was training them on how to minister after He was gone, and they were to pass this power down to us!

I’ am sure you have all heard some of these verses before but very possibly like me, it was always just one verse here and one verse there, but as I started looking closer at these verses and compiling them I became astonished at how many there were. I came across verse after verse after verse, it was just amazing, I had never realized the staggering amount of times that Jesus told us His disciples that we should and will perform the same miracles as He did and even Greater than His?! “By these they will know that you are My disciples”

It should also be noted He was using a commanding tone as He tried to impart this power and information to the believers. (“go into all the world.. heal the sick, give sight to the blind”)(“ by the power and authority of My name they Will cast out demons”) What is even more amazing is how we the 21st century church have completely ignore these words today, as if it was just one obscure verse, or that they were never even spoken by Jesus at all!?

And before you go there, this was not just for the 1st century church that is just what some man made up in his head because he didn’t see the power in his own life! It was easier to say that they ended with the Apostils rather than to admit he didn’t know why there was no power in his life or the church that he knew of!

But the scripture says "These are the miraculous signs that will follow them that believe!" He didn’t put a time limit on it,and neither should we!

Mark 9:23… Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Math 10:1-8 (GW) Sending out the Disciples

Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them authority to force evil spirits out of people and to cure every disease and sickness. … 5 Jesus sent these twelve out with the following instructions: 6 Go now to the lost sheep of the nation of Israel. 7 As you go, spread this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.' 8 Cure the sick, bring the dead back to life, cleanse the lepers, and force demons out of people. Give these things without charging, since you received them without paying.

1st John
If our “heart” does not condemn us, we can boldly look to God 22 and receive from him anything we ask. We receive it because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him. 23 This is his commandment: to believe in his Son, the one named Jesus Christ, and to love each other as he commanded us

John 14:12… Truly, Truly, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Mark 11:22-26 (GW)
22 Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God! 23 I can guarantee this truth: This is what will be done for someone who doesn't doubt but believes what he says will happen: He can say to this mountain, ‘Be uprooted and thrown into the sea,' and it will be done for him. 24 That's why I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for, and it will be yours. … 25 Whenever you pray, forgive anything you have against anyone. Then your Father in heaven will forgive you.”

John 15:7-8
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. 8 by this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; in so doing shall you be known as my disciples.

Mathew 7:7-11 (KJV) Good Gifts;
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that ask’s receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

John 16:22-27 (GW)
23 When that day comes, … I can guarantee this truth: If you ask the Father for anything in my name, he will give it to you. 24 So far you haven't asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive so that your Joy can be complete.
25. Now, I will speak to you about the Father in plain words. 26 When that day comes, you will ask for what you want in my name. I'm telling you that I won't have to ask the Father for you. 27 The Father loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.

Luke 10:17-22 (KJV)
17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan falling as lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding rejoice not only in this, that the spirits are subject unto you; but even more so rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Mark 16:14-18
14 Still later Jesus appeared to the eleven apostles while they were eating. He put them to shame for their unbelief and because they were too stubborn to believe those who had seen him alive. 15 Then Jesus said to them, “So wherever you go in the world, tell everyone the Good News. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 “These are the miraculous signs that will accompany believers: They will use the power and authority of my name to force demons out of people. They will speak in toungs. 18 If they pick up any deadly snakes, or if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them. They will place their hands on the sick and cure them.”

Matt 18:18-20 (KJV)18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Matt 21:21-22 (GW)
21 Jesus answered them, “I can guarantee this truth: If you have faith and do not doubt, you will be able to do what I did to the fig tree. You could also say to this mountain, ‘Be uprooted and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen. 22 Have faith so you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

2 Cor. 8:9
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich. (KJV)

MARK 9:19-24
The Disciples are Rebuked for NOT performing a miracle!
(not casting out a demon from a young boy)

O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought the demonized boy unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground wallowing and foaming at the mouth. 22:The boy’s father begged the Lord, but if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us. 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. … Jesus had compassion and healed his Son.

Psalms 37:3-5
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall You dwell in the land, and certainly you shall be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Heb 4:16 (ASV)
16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.

2 Cor 9:7-13 (GW)
8 Besides, God will give you his constantly overflowing kindness. Then, you will always have everything you need, so you can do more and more good things. 9 Scripture says, “The righteous person gives freely to the poor. His righteousness continues forever.” 10 God gives seed to the farmer and food to those who need to eat. God will also give you seed, and multiply it. And in your lives he will increase the righteous things you do. 11 God will make you rich enough so that you can always be generous. Your generosity will produce thanksgiving to God because of us. 12 What you do to serve others not only provides for the needs of God's people, but also produces more and more prayers of thanksgiving to God. 13 You will honor God through this genuine act of service because of your commitment to spread the Good News of Christ!

Now am I Crazy or was Jesus trying to make sure we didn’t miss this? How many sermons have you heard about casting out demons this year?! How about raising the dead to life?... But how many times have you heard about tithing or being a faithful giver? Now I am a giver and giving to the body and to ministry should be a given (haha) but it's rarely mentioned from the book of acts all the way to Revelation. Simply because of the sheer number of times these statements were made by Jesus is more than enough reason for the followers of Jesus to pursue the manifestation of this power in their life!

I believe that we, the Body of Christ should no longer Ignore this half of the Gospel! And that if even just a small portion of the true believers in Christ would get a hold of this Truth, we would see a powerful shaking and manifestation of the Gifts of the Spirit in the church!

Well you can do whatever you want with this information, but as for myself, I am going to act like Jesus was telling the truth! Iam just saying!...
